Valeri Lopez grew up in sunny southern California and started her career early, singing classic karaoke tunes at the Shakey's Pizza Restaurant. After a short hiatus, she began singing again as a college freshman, performing the National Anthem at sporting events. Soon after she was given a guitar as a Christmas gift and within just three weeks had written her first song. Valeri has performed at many West Coast venues including the Whiskey A Go-Go and the Rainbow Room in Hollywood. In 2007, Valeri placed in the top 16 in a Universal City, California Battle of the Bands competition. Her song “Stay” will be featured in the independent film ”All Ages Night,” premiering in the summer of 2008.
Valeri Lopez is one of the winners of the New Singer/Songwriter Contest. This contest is designed specifically for amateur musicians who have written their own non-recorded music.
